<aside> 📌 **The CEA Groups team will host a University Group Organiser Summit prior to EAG London!
🗓️ Summit dates**: ****Monday 15 May to Friday 19 May. *(EAG London is May 19 - 21)*
**🗺️ Location:** Near Oxford or London, UK
**💲 Expenses:** Room, food, and reasonable travel expenses will be covered.
This summit will kickstart renewed support for experienced university groups and aims to foster better knowledge transfer across groups.
In doing so, we hope to support the strategic innovations of strong groups and gain generalizable insights. Experienced group leaders and EA professionals will join this summit to connect with and support current organisers.
We encourage all experienced and ambitious new organisers to apply!
If you are unsure of whether you would be a good fit or whether you should apply please feel free to reach out to [email protected]

<aside> ⏳ If you are interested in joining this summit, please **fill out this application form by April 2nd.** You should hear back from us by April 6.
We encourage you to apply even if you are not sure you will be able to attend. There will be a separate RSVP form sent to accepted applicants, so filling out the application is not committing to attend.
You can also **refer others to apply to this summit.** Past organisers have found it helpful to attend with at least one other co-organiser, so consider referring other organisers at your university.

All current university group organisers.
This event will be particularly well-suited for experienced organisers at established university groups. We’re also excited about this summit serving the next generation of organisers at established groups and a limited number of ambitious organisers at newer groups who are eager to think carefully about groups strategy.
If you think this summit would plausibly be valuable for you, we encourage you to just go ahead and apply!
We will base admission decisions on your answers to the application questions, feedback from mentors facilitated through CEA (if applicable), and our sense of how much you would benefit from the summit. We may also reach out for quick chats.
If you’re an experienced past group organiser or EA professional interested in attending, please reach out.
We are committed to building a diverse summit. Evidence suggests that underprivileged individuals tend to underestimate their abilities. We do not want the application process to dissuade potential candidates and we strongly encourage interested students to apply regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, ability, etc.

<aside> 💡 Past attendees of similar events have regularly reported that events like these are significantly (i.e. 3x-30x ) more valuable than the counterfactual use of their time.
We’re aware that attending this retreat might mean missing a few days of work or classes. We still encourage you to apply and are happy to chat about whether this seems like a good tradeoff for your situation.
