A team of EAs, has recently developed and put into practice a replicable and scalable method for social media marketing (SMM) for EA chapters, that has been briefly presented in this forum post. The team consisted of Luca Parodi, who was leading the project leveraging on his previous social media experience, Luca Stocco and Sophie Gullino, who produced 50% of the content each. You can see examples of their content on the Instagram pages of EA Italy (in Italian) and EA Oxford (in English) which post high-quality posts on average every other day.
Below you will find a brief explanation of the method used, followed by all the necessary information you need to access ready-made material and editable resources – so bear with me!
In short, for creating content from scratches you can use the following process.
We used Notion to prepare the text content for each post
To start with, simply read any relevant material and copy it (or write notes about it) in a database. There you can edit it, until it is suitable to be disseminated via social media. In the SMM project we did this in our Content Creation Dashboard in Notion - please save this link as it includes a lot of useful resources (all our text content!). Below you can find for more information on how to navigate the database.

We created the designs in Canva.
After the text is ready you can paste into a Canva template, and edit the graphics until you are happy with it. If you are new to Canva, it allows to create beautiful designs, and it is pretty intuitive to learn. There is a free version available, however Canva Pro (the paid version) has some useful additional features. You can use our templates and graphics with your own Canva: just create an account and simply click on the links provided in Content Creation dashboard!
This will allow you to open, access and edit all the designs that we have created.
Post in your social media platform (or program posts for later).
Lastly, you can post a single post at a time, or you can program them using software such as Meta Business Suite.
Our strategy will be evaluated regularly, based on the viewers engagement and changes in the social media algorithms. For example, at the moment Instagram has been putting particular emphasis on reels, hence we are considering options in these directions.
In short, any community builder that wants to create an Instagram post can now simply access our database of content and graphics – saving significant amount of time! This should allow increased outreach and improve the quality of the EA content which is being posted.
In the shared Notion you can see that there are different pages corresponding to the different kinds of posts that we have developed so far:
The carousels are organised by theme: e.g. in the “Precipice” page you will find the text and caption for all the posts relating to the book the precipice. Please note that at the beginning of each section there is the link to the Canva template, which allows you to access the graphics.
