What does being a mentor involve?

• Regularly meeting with mentees from different EA groups
  • Meet weekly with your mentees through our three-week mentorship programme (with the potential for semester-long mentorship).
  • In Spring 2024, 65% of mentees received mentorship for the whole semester.
• Relaying important information to your mentees
  • Occasionally, we might ask you to share opportunities or announcements with your mentees.
• Regular check-ins with CEA
  • Check-in after your first and third week, and monthly after that.
  • The check-ins allow you to discuss questions and problems with CEA staff, and help us keep up to date.
• Attending a one-off virtual mentorship training
  • At the beginning of the programme, mentors participate in a kickoff event to learn the basics of OSP, how to mentor organisers, and meet other mentors.
