The CEA University Groups Team runs several programs that connect newer university group organizers with more experienced organizers. This upcoming semester, we will run our Organizer Support Program (OSP) again and launch a new program focusing on AI Safety university groups, the Fieldbuilder Support Program (FSP). For this reason, we’re looking for mentors for both EA and AI safety groups.

While we’re excited about applications for mentors with different time dedications, this round, we’re particularly enthusiastic about increasing the number of senior mentors. Senior mentors generally have four or more mentees, and they have an outsized influence on the program, being a major component of the value produced by OSP.

How do I become a mentor?

• TL;DR: You can fill out this form by June 24th.
• This form is for normal mentors (with a lower time commitment) and senior mentors (with availability for more than 4 mentees).
  • We are more likely to accept mentors who can take on larger commitments, as this reduces our overhead.
• If you have not participated in CEA programs in the past, we may ask you for additional information.
• If you’re unsure if you fulfill the requirements below, we encourage you to apply anyway!
