Advertising your Fellowship in certain large or especially relevant group chats is a low effort way to broadly publicize your program.

This guide contains:

Where should I advertise?

Generally message on social media platforms/group chats which are either clearly relevant to Effective Altruism or very large and very general

• Clearly relevant to Effective Altruism
  • Some examples:
    • Course WhatsApp/GroupMe groups for EA relevant courses i.e. Philosophy/Econ/Statistics classes, to list a few.
    • Group chat or Discord of a different EA relevant student org you’re a part of i.e. messaging about the Fellowship in a volunteering org’s group chat.
• Very large and very general
  • Some examples:
    • Class-wide WhatsApp groups i.e. “Class of 2025 WhatsApp Group chat”
    • Class-wide Discords/Facebook Pages/Snapchat Stories

What should I share?

• We recommend you share a Fellowship flyer [Template Here] along with an application to apply to the program.

• For smaller, clearly EA relevant group chats consider sharing a brief message which connects the Fellowship to a shared interest of the group chat.
